Due to its location on the city’s edge you can combine both of it perfectly: with the S-Bahn you reach the city center within 20 minutes or you can rent a bike at our house and ride over meadows and fields to a swimming lake. Or you can take the Autobahn by car and explore the vicinity and the mountains. There are so many options to arrange your stay as varied as possible. Boredom? Never!

Take a ride with the bike!

Cycling to work or just a cozy bike tour at the Isar river? Going to the city through the English Garden or drive out with MVV and your bike into nature? We can offer bikes including bike lock and tire inflator for your tours. For just 15 Euro per day.

In cooperation with MVV, the ADFC (German bicycle club) has developed many attractive tours in and around Munich for you. Be inspired and set up your own program.

Fun splash and water sports for everyone

Just a few minutes away from the hotel is lake Feringasee which is also easily accessible by bike. With its clear water and attractive leisure time facilities the lake is a magnet for people looking for recreation in the north of Munich.

A bathing and swimming area is located in the southern part of the lake and on a peninsula an official FKK (nudist beach) can be found. On the northern shore is the water sports area with surfing and fishing. And who has not yet let off enough steam can do so on the volley ball playfield or the playground. And of course the gastronomical offer is not missing, too. A little more peaceful is lake Poschinger Weiher in the Isarauen. This is the perfect starting point for tours on the left or the right of Isar river – into th English Garden or to Freising.

Take care of body and soul

Wellness opportunities in and around Munich is huge for all ages.

Most certainly one of the highlights is the thermal spring Erding, just a 30 minutes car ride away. Europes biggest thermal spring offers on 183.000 m2 a diverse offer for people looking for recreation, water rats, water slide fans, wave friends and sauna-goers. And the healthy and relaxing sulfurous thermal water comes with 34 to 40 degrees directly out of the spring.

Fit for fun!

Our guests do not have to abstain from sports and exercise when staying in Unterföhring. For example they can swing the tennis racket in the sports center at Jahnstraße. Or hike the Isaraue by mountain bike. Or have fun right away in our in-house bowling aiming a strike.

You are into golf? Why not have a training at the golf city center Freimann before visiting one of the many golf courses in and around Munich.

And if you like it even more formidable or fancy, you will get your money’s worth: Lacrosse, paragliding, mountain climbing – and of course skiing the alps in winter.

Cast off for the Isar raft ride!

From May through the mid of September you can tour river Isar for 28 kilometers on traditional wood rafts. Don’t worry, you do not have to do it on your own – “gstandne Mannsbuidan” (fine figures of men) will steer the rafts safely from Wolfratshausen to Munich-Thalkirchen. Enjoy the ride through the lovely nature of the Isar valley. But you should book in time as tours are very popular. All information available here.

We’re making a film!

Visit one of Europe’s biggest film studios and wander through the sceneries of film classics like “Das Boot” (The Boat) and “The NeverEnding Story”. On a guided tour of the original sceneries in Bavaria-Filmstadt you will experience the claustrophobic narrowness on board of a submarine very close. Or you can become active yourself and re-enact scenes from films. And in the 4-D-cinema wind and moving theater styles give you the feeling to be in the midst of the film.
